Recently I have discovered that my way of shaking hands is rather Persian, at least non-Western! I have always grabbed hands gently as a respect and sometimes between two hands and shaken them even more gently! Last year someone said that she was initially offended when I shook her hand like that first time I met her! Apparently she wanted me to grab her hand and shake it firmly like a lumberjack!loool

Hehe never looked at it from that perspective, LOL I better watch out when Shaking hands with older Iranians! :D

Funny you should mention this, I for one can not for some reason handle a soft hand shake and I too have pulled up men on this and asked why do you shake hands so softly.

 

Lumberjack all the way lol
