I voted for free weights, but you have to BE CAREFUL!!!

Just recently, I loaded weights on a barbell while it was on the ground; then I realized that I needed to unload the weights so I can put the barbell back on to the bench....long story short, I was too lazy and I injured my back!!!

I didn't realize this until a couple of days later when I was about to CRY from the pain!

1 week of Tylenols...and I'm still not ready to go back :(

Ok, the reason free wights are better is that they make ALL of your muscles to work at the same time, while machines isolate certain muscle groups, and there isn't a machine for every mucle in your body!

dude i think fast metabolism also helps, i mean i realli dont work out but i never gain weight. I wonder if it will continue til my 30s. Cauz i knoe u start gain weight easier, but i think fast metabolism should covver it.

i dont gain much 2 ....its very hard for me ....even though i eat loads ...ive allways had a low fat% ..its pretty good...

but im sure our metabolism will slow down ...

i tried on my abs and the only thing that happend was it got flat but NO MUSCLE !

Well it's quite hard to gain muscle mass; besides, people usually don't want any extra abdominal mass ;)

If you want your ab muscles to show through, you need to decrease your body fat considerably. Sit-ups & crunches only strengthen the abs; the muscles will not show unless the fat infront is gone.

It's hard, but you can do it :)

but the problem is there is no fat infront of anything! lol

but i guess its ok cuz if it got too muscular then it would look 2 guyish~~

it's hard for women to gain muscles that show.

 

to gain muscles you have to lift heavier weights. if you want to lose weight you do more repetitions but with 1kilo weights.

not really thats all a myth ...2 loose weight u have 2 watch ur diet and cardio thats the only way ..2 watch ur calorie intake do not exceeed 1800 and have good food ...high in protein low in carb ...have good carbs ..but u cant have carbs after 4 pm

What I meant was that one needs to reduce his/her body fat to approximately less than 6% in order to have the washboard abs you see on mags......

I've also learned that Fatburger's Double Kingburger provides good training as well......just hold one in each hand and do curls while taking a bite each time......it's fun and tasty.
