    Report Song Rip-Offs!!!

This one is not a ripoff by a Persian artist, but I wanna know if anyone knows about this: I think Kate Perry's "hot n cold" has a French origin, or is at least inspired by a french song! I was listening to a french radio station this morning, and I happened to hear this French song, which was VERY similar to hot n cold, but much "lighter" with a more "frenchish" mood, sang by a guy at a slower tempo. But the melody, even the syllables of the lyrics were pretty much the same! I just donno the name of that song : .

Keano, I don't think Man Az To's intro is a rip-off. The closest it can come to (in that regard) is that it is partly inspired by the song Uninvited (which is btw one of my favourites). Part of Man Az To's overture just happens to hit the same brief sequence of notes as Uninvited, but it doesn't go on like that. It then modulates to major and sounds more like Rastin's songs. But yeah, that small part of it is the same as part of Uninvited. There are numerous examples of songs which at some part happen to sound smiliar to other songs(even in lyrics) but still cant be considerd a "rip-off". If we were to report them in this thread, it would have twice the number of pages as it has now . I hate that Nadia song so much! Nice find pourya. She did a good job ruining the Turkish original!

If you have even heared DJ Star's name or know him as an artist, then you might also know that his song titled "Ok Ok" is an exact replica of Helena Paparizou's "OK"

lol...I had the same question in mind actually. I am not sure yet if the lyricist it is the same Azar Shiva, but that's the name they put in the album.

Actually, I think it wasnt "cheesy", it was just different, but not that great. Pourya, did you actually listen to the full song, or you are judging based on the Demos? The lyrics are by Shadmehr himself as far as I know (I still havent got the physical CD so im not sure), so that explains part of it lol. Sorry, I shall correct that, as what I had heared was wrong. Lyrics are not Shadmehr's, and are in fact by "Azar Shiva" according to the credits listed in the album.

The lyrics are by Shadmehr himself as far as I know (I still havent got the physical CD so im not sure), so that explains part of it lol. I dont like how the song gets cut at the end though. But anyway, even though it was the first time I was listening to the song, I think the music wasn't bad. lol...why?! I personally think there is variety and yet there is cohesion among all track on this album (unlike Popcorn). Perhaps, if the first 5 songs were not previously released/leaked through TV/internet, this album would get much more attention, as songs such as Sabab, Residi, Taghdir, Mashkook, and even Yekari Kon, were all ""hit" ones, and admired at the time they were pre-released. So, now that they are released in an album, with only 3 new (previously unheared) songs, the collection may not have that fresh feeling to the listener anymore, which might result in under-rating Density by some people. I was also disapponited about the number of tracks, considering that only 3 were new, but I have heared Century Records did not agree with more tracks on the album (despite the fact that I am sure Shadmehr had more songs ready to release - one of which can be heared in the concert teaser video). I don't think you should take your eyes (ears!) off a number of already hit songs on this album and speak of "Boycotting" it ! (I even remember you said before that the album would get full ratings from you, if there are no ripoffs) ...

    Musical Instruments

There are a couple problems with your poll: You cant select multiple answers ; You HAVE to select an Iranian instrument in addition to the international instruments (since u have one submit button). so...that didnt work for me !

    Nadia Saya

hahaha, why did she write the lyrics? ... and the biased comments (complements) on that video are ridicously funny (e.g. "kombizz05 : I reckon she is a beautiful, lavand (coy) Iranian singer. Her eshve put fire in my heart. " LOL)
