  3. My GOD, the response I am getting is childish at best. Don’t go into who/what the site is for, read the material no one has said anything about the goals of the site. Having said that it’s pretty nice site. Konjkov (I take it you are a he) has the right attitude, he at least is reading/looking around. He may come off strong about his feeling which has put most of you on the defensive mode, Fair enough! I have looked at his arguments and the replies he has gotten. Most of the replies to his points are directed at his person, they are pretty much rude. While he gives his reasoning for his beliefs, the counter arguments are going below the belt. Well, lets take a closer look, most of the people that have taken offense to his remarks live in North America!!! They are here either to live permanently or to study!!! Funny don’t you think? Here is a bunch people who love Islam yet they are not in an Islamic Country. Why don’t they Study back home? Why do they come to North America and better themselves thanks to all the None Muslims who have developed this system. Why can’t they get their education back home? You know Iran was the first country to have “Woman Lawyers” in the world. We give many rights to woman before many other Western Nations. But that was in Shahs time, we since then have regressed many years, and taken away those rights. What do you think caused it? --- Disclaimer ------- The above comment may be the dumbest comments on this thread yet. After all who can compete to: Takbir
  4. From some comments above, I noticed that the acts in IRAQ war to Christianity. Please don’t confuse the two. The acts in Iraq are time of war and the acts are NOT IN THE NAME OF CHRISTIANITY, whether the war is just or not that’s a separate issue. The link shows daily just for people IN THE NAME OF ISLAM. So before hurry up to write your comments, just take a look at the pictures and the story they tell. The events have happened, and you can not justify them by pointing to other inhumane events by anyone else. I am not trying to change anyone’s religion; you have the right to think/believe what you want. But one has to sometimes take an objective look around and make a choice accordingly. Extremism in any form is bad, whether it’s about a religion or lack of it. We sometimes are so comfortable with what/where we are that we forget to question things that are uncomfortable. Look at following link it brings some good points, I am not saying that its all true but no one can surely say it’s all lies either. So in point we need to be open-minded even more that we currently are, because what if it was 100% true? Where do you go if it was? Well be happy with life if you found out at old age and you didn’t do your due diligence in proofing your believes. http://www.kavehroom.com/Ali.htm In fact read all the articles on http://www.kavehroom.com -Sam

    I am Iranian!

Hello From Canada, Well Are you Persian or Iranian? You are both, because they mean exactly the same thing, neither of them is better or worst than the other. My own words (understanding): Iran means the land of Fire. This refers to the fact the first monolithic religion Zoroastrians considered Fire to be holy. What was the exact significance of fire, I don’t really know, you may research this furthered your selves. But basically in the olden dais they referred to Iran as the “land of fire worshipers” or “”Sarzamine Ätish parstan”. Persia also a name for Iran given by the Greeks, due to the fact that majority of population of Old Iran was from Pars tribe. Pars got changed to Fars because Arabs don’t have the letter “P” in their alphabet. So we call Iran the way it suppose to be called. I mean natively it’s called Iran, “Sarzamine Atish Parastan”. And if you refer to Iran as Persia, then you are referring to yourself from the Latin Language . I can go on about Iran, but I don’t want to say too much un invitedly. You can say I RELLY LOVE MY COUNTRY AND IT’S BEAUTIFUL HISTORY. Some clips from Webster Dictionary: Webster's 1913 Dictionary Definition: \I*ra"ni*an\, a. Of or pertaining to Iran. -- n. A native of Iran; also, the Iranian or Persian language, a division of the Aryan family of languages. Persia Definition: an ancient empire, extending from the Indus to Thrace, and from the Caspian Sea to the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. The Persians were originally a Medic tribe which settled in Persia, on the eastern side of the Persian Gulf. They were Aryans, their language belonging to the eastern division of the Indo-European group. One of their chiefs, Teispes, conquered Elam in the time of the decay of the Assyrian Empire, and established himself in the district of Anzan. His descendants branched off into two lines, one line ruling in Anzan, while the other remained in Persia. Cyrus II., king of Anzan, finally united the divided power, conquered Media, Lydia, and Babylonia, and carried his arms into the far East. His son, Cambyses, added Egypt to the empire, which, however, fell to pieces after his death. It was reconquered and thoroughly organized by Darius, the son of Hystaspes, whose dominions extended from India to the Danube.

Easy Tigress, he said he's (I am guessing he, might be a she) never been in love before, da natige dahanish hanooze boye sheer medeh. darkalone: Interesting name, Dark and Alone. Don't be expecting Love, Don't wait for it. It's not like being in love will cause a phyical change, and you know you are in love. Everyone falls inlove differently with different degree of strength. Love usully happen with opposite sex (if you heterosexual), and the first signs of it is: I am not going to do this this question is A LOADED QUESTION.
