    Iranian/Arabian Friendly Talk.

With all due respect now I got more reason to dislike the man, I for one believe our miseries got worse than ever, once Khomeini and his gang took over the country and led the country to international isolation and globally smeared image. We've gone backward and we're still in the same backward pathway getting worse and worse... In regards to Arabs I have absolutely nothing against them as a matter of fact as I mentioned earlier I have a lot of great Arab friends, same goes to Israeli friends, heck more than 80% of my clients in my business are comprised of Israelis or American Jews. Animosity and racial mentality has no place in my book and I believe in equality and fair treatment of all races and ethnicity as well as nationality. On a side note and out of curiosity I was wondering what country you're from, I noticed you can read Persian, do you come from an Iranian background or perhaps you're from Bahrain? Thanks and cheers bro! BTW beware of Iranian Rebel, he is very intimidating and can be furious at times! Right Iranian rebel? My friend Keano,,, I am from Saudi Arabia, the Western side on the Red Sea. I read Persian literature translated in Arabic and I found this poetry for Saadi Shirazi in Persian by our dear friend, Mr. Google However, the Western side of Arabia, there are many families from Iranian background and they are leaders in society, in terms of economy and education ans some of them carry family names like Al-Farsi, means the persian. But I am Arab by the way. One thing we just need to understand about the Middle East, is that all the events or political conflicts are affecting all of us. Iran is a major player in the area as well as Turkey and the Arab countries. The political trends that took place in the Middle East are changing, once it was Nationalism, then Islamism and now a days some countries think it's by being on the side of the West. I think the most successful example is Turkey, secular, democratic government. I am like some people think in Iran and Arab countries, we should get rid of Islamic governments and be secular,, this is a dream I think,, but hopefully we will reach it. Our countries then, will find a common ground to be united and be economic, political power that can survive in the world today just like Europe where nationalism destroyed every aspect of life, then they reestablished themselves again... I am in USA now Keano, and I have very good friends from Iran, and also I have Jewish friends and we get along perfectly Thanks for warning me about Iranian Rebel but I bet his kindness will overcome his madness Good luck with your business bro I may step by someday Cheers

    Iranian/Arabian Friendly Talk.

Cheeers Keano agha I am happy to hear this logical and informative response from you. I am totally against any racist statements against my brothers the Iranians, believe me this is all from very ignorant people and it is not the opinion of the intellectuals and educated Arabs. My friend Iran is one of the most important countries of the Middle East, any movement either positive or negative about Iran affects the whole area of the Middle East. When Looking at the modern Middle East issues, we should consider many points such as colonialism, nationalism and religious movemements. All of the Arabs countries were under the control of the Turkish empire of the Ottomans which by the beginning of the 19th century had become ultra-nationalist and againts its subjects the Arabs. Of course, the national movements were extended from the national movements of Europe which of course led to the WW1 and WW2. However, the British government contacted Sharif ibn Ali and convinced him to support the British againts the Turks and the British would support him to have indepedent Arab state including the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant (Syria, Jordan, Palestine and Iraq). Unfortunately, things turned up against the Arabs, the British and French after their victory in the WW1, colonized the Arab lands and divided them into the modern day states. Sharif ibn Ali himself was expelled and lived the rest of his life in exile in Cyprus. One thing to mention, Sharif ibn Ali movement was not anti-Iranian, it was anti-Turkish. His sons became Kings of Iraq and Jordan by the way, and guess what,, the great great grand son King Faisal of Iraq was going to get married to princess Shahinaz the daughter or sister of Shah Mohammed-Reza Pahalavi. And the marriage was to have political support from Iran in order to prvenet Iraq from the movement of Pan-Arabism of Jamal Abdulnasser of Egypt. Pan-Arabism was a secular, socialist movement much like the movement of prime minister Mossadaq of Iran. However, Pan-Arabism succeeded in removing the monarchy of Iraq and the they tried to remove the monarchy of Saudi Arabia and Jordan but they failed. Jamal Abdulnnaser had wars with Israel and he was the only Arab leader who supported Imam Khomeini in his revolt agains the Shah, by broadcasting radio stations in Farsi to the Iranian nation, money and political support. However, Imam Khamenei said about him:"He was the only Arab leader supporter of the Revolution after Khomeini falied to get support from other Arab leaders. I cried for him more than I cried for my parents...etc!" After the death of Jamal Abdulnnaser, Anwar Sadat became president and he was the best friend of Shah Mohammed-Reza. He was the one who received him after even USA rejected to receive him in USA. He even contacted USA to get the Shah back to the throne and tried to free the American hostages in the Embassy but it failed and the Americans told him finally "it's the choice of the Iranians, we cannot do anything for the Shah now". After the revolution, the Arab leaders fears were that, Iran will export the Revoltion to the whole Arab world and the Arab world especially the most influential counries are pro-American. so there was a political conflict here. It happened the war of 8 years, with all its consequences. However, regarding Persian Gulf Arab countries, they are not moving on nationalist bases, their moves and fears are based on many issues. One of them is their alliances with the West and US particularly. They have different views on Israel/Palestine conflict. Iran is in favor of armed resistence and the Arab countries want to have the two-state solution by trying to stop Hamas so the Israelis would stop claiming they are reacting to milirary actions of Hamas. I have heard Iran did asked the Arabs to be partners with them in their nuclear program but the Arabs now cannot act against the will of the West. In the media, Aljazeera channel as one of the most influential channels, they always bring Iranian and Arab intellectuals to discuss these issues. Recently, the leader of the Arab league stated that any military action against Iran is not acceptable and there should be a peaceful solution. The Arabs views in general is that Iran is a neighbour for thousands of years and they will stay for thousands of years,, all of these imperial powers are coming and going, so we should be friends not enemies. Lastly, my friend Keano,,, these are the views between the officials and the intellectuals based upon my readings from Arabic sources. From my readings in different Arabic books and literature the Persians viewed as nobel, intellegent people and one of their most important features is that they are the people who support the weak and they don't accept opression on themselves and the others. This is from an old Arabic literature book comparing the Arabs, Turks and Persians to each other. I watched a series of documntary movies on Arabic channel called "Iran: the Englighted Land", talks about the majesty and greatness of the Persian civilization in a very high quality directing techniques. I am really impressed by it. We as the nations unfortunately are victims of all of these issues propoganda and political slogans, what i am looking toward is that we as people should not be victims of these issues and be humanitarian with each other and positive towards each other. Cheeers again bro

Ok, Iranian rebel, I got your points. Hopefully, things will change to a better situation. I am glad you don't have problems on a personal bases. I'd like to share this with you: بنی آدم اعضای یک پیکرند که در آفرينش ز یک گوهرند چو عضوى به درد آورد روزگار دگر عضوها را نماند قرار تو کز محنت دیگران بی غمی نشاید که نامت نهند آدمی However, I am not here to defend Arabs, it's just more understanding. Yes, the Arab countries are very weak and hopefully no more wars. I don't know how to talk to you but I respect your opinion after all,The matter is not love or hate,it is hard to change feelings, the matter is respect and coexistence. What i want to say what is the relationship between the Arabs of today and Iran current government? This is what everybody blame the Arabs for it and I don't see any relationship... calm down

    Iranian/Arabian Friendly Talk.

Well, i would accept if you say anything. For sure, there is no personal problem. Go ahead and feel free to say anything ok plz dont be offended but the problems i have with the Arabs are as follows... u guys are so ugly short and have gravely voices this just make 4 an unpleasant experience when talking 2 u people u have a backward barbaric culture and beliefs seriously talking to arab is like talking someone from the middle ages i never met an arab who had anything inteligent to say i never met an arab who wasent a pervert i never met an arab who i could trust u call the persian gulf the arabian gulf we have been at war 4 1400 years u infected us with islam and millions of iranians have paid the price u had war 4 8 years with us u claim that persians are more related to arabs than Europeans as during ur occupation of our home land u took our women as sex slave also why are arabs proud they took persian women as sex slaves? arab wont stop trying to steal irans oil these are some problems i could go on but these are problems i have with almost all the arabs i'v met but i cant judge u i dont no u that well but just dont be offended thx Well, thanks for saying your opinion and i will tell u that i am not offended although your criticism of Arabs is very very harsh and in some points you mentioned I think they are not justified to have such negative feelings. For being short and having grave voices,,,,, do u blame us for being short??? is that a problem??? You can't generalize the whole Arabs in one simple charachter. In any issue, there is no absolute answer!!! Looking at it from one perspective is not the right way to look at things. Saying the culture is barbaric and of the middle ages,, i think you are not aware of what is is going on around you. Many people have said recently there is a big misunderstanding and barriers that keep the people misunderstanding each other. If you want to see educated Arabs,, there are many who are well known throughout the world but you just need to find out and read. However, the word culture is a big word and nobody can say my culture is better than other cultures. Every culture has its own elements and unique features. This is a human nature,, if you see someone and you have a bad experience with,, people tend to say the whole ethnicity or race is bad. Well, regarding the issue of the 1400 years of wars, I think u need to listen to different views of the issues. If you want to talk about the Islamic invasion, i hope you accept me saying this and just consider it one of the many theories to explain the Arabs-Persian war, I have come across a view saying that, the Persian Empire actually was suffering from a lot of internal social/political problems and even the Zoroastrian clerics had heavy hands on people's lives and this is actually true with any cilivization and empire, they go through different stages of (Birth, Glory, Death), I myself consider cilivlizations are fathers and sons, when a civilization dies its heritage is inherited by another civilization. If you investigate the nature of wars and the causes of wars,, you will see that wars are mostly based on material interests and not on cultural aspects. USA invaded Iraq not because of Saddam being bad or good, it is because of oil. When Iraq-Iran war started it was because of borders and fears of the Islamic Revolution exportion. But here is the most important thing,,, if u want to go to a war with someone,, you have to make PROPAGANDA. The two oppononents should make each other look bad to justify the war. Deep invesigation of the Islamic world mentality and cultures including all the ethnicities are consisted of Arab and Persian and Greek elements, Islam is not only Arabic, i can tell you it was first created by Arabs, but if you look at it later, the sects and cults are made up by others according to different understandings of the texts and the integration of other philosphies. However, the Persians are the most influential people on Islamic thought and civlization, besides the Greek elements which were integrated into the Islamic thought. Another point, I have seen you trying to connect yourself to Europeans, anyways, I haven't ever heard that the Arabs say Persians are Arabs or something, and everybody knows that Persians are Indo-Europeans but now you are in Asia my friend, so if you tell someone you are European,,, guess what is the answer!!!?? Besides, maybe if you are in the middle ages, you would rather say I am Persian from the Middle East i don't have any connections with Europeans!! If you like me to go to modern politics and the issues of the Middle East, i have a lot to say. I always believe the Arabs and Iranians should be friends, we need to open the locked doors. For thousands of years we are living side by side and for thousands of years we will be side by side, either we understand each other or we are both killing ourselves!! One last point I'd like to ask u about,,,, Don't you think that Persians and Arabs have Inferiority Complex?? Both of them are living in the past, and they do not usually think about the futre!? Thanks for reading and I am looking forward to your opinion

well, my friends,,, i haven't seen any reply to this post. I'm just wondering if there is a problem in my post!!? I carry very positive feelings about Iranians i just want to have this friendly talk in order to promote understanding among us.
  7. Hi Keano, this map was proposed by an American retired colonel by the name of Ralph Peters!! It was an article written by him in the Journal of Armed Forces. It's clear that this guy understands the ethnic/religious groups of this poor Middle East. If you are interested you can read his article in this link http://www.armedforcesjournal.com/2006/06/1833899 Find out about the guy here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralph_Peters
  8. Salam my friends,,, This if my first post, I hope we can have a quiet friendly talk about some current issues. I need your reflections and opinions. Please your very very own opinions. I want to talk about various things in my mind about different issues we have in common. First of all, I admire the Iranian culture with all its diversity and richness and the ancient Persian civilization. It’s such a great civilization that contributes so much to humanity. Actually, I fell in love with this culture and the breathtaking arts the Iranian produce. This means one thing in my opinion, it means there are real creativity and a great heritage and there are people who appreciate good arts. Even the Iranian food, whenever I go to Iranian restaurant I have the feeling that Iranians are artists by nature in the way they organize the table, the fruits and the food in the plates. I still remember my father when I was little kid, at the season of Hajj when people come from over the world, my father used to go to see what the people had, he used to bring Iranian handcrafted vases, cups and jugs. Also, the very good Iranian rings with the beautiful gem stones. Beside arts, the beauty of Persian literature, Omar Khayyam, Rumi, Hafez are some of the greatest poets of all time. In the Arab world, those writers and poets are highly appreciated and loved. Rubayat Khayyam was translated and it was sung by the most famous Egyptian Arabic singer Umm Kalthoum in the 70s I guess. The music oooh my Goooood, the Persian music is awesome. Actually, people are usually moved by lyrics and meanings, unfortunately I don’t really understand Farsi but actually the Iranian music really moves me, even though I don’t understand the lyrics. There are a lot of things that make Iran a great destination for people who like beauty in most aspects of life. Recently, there is a big gap between the historical neighbors the Iranians and the Arabs. I guess the national movements that took place in the 20th century had created this gap. Of course this is my opinion. The Middle East has been divided into a lot of nation states such as Turkey, Iran, and the Arab countries. We all suffered from the colonization of our countries. We are still paying the price until now. What I want to focus on is that, is the gap between the Arab world and Iran is merely circumstantial or is it deeply rooted in history and cultures!!?? I want to talk honestly and I’m trying to be objective as much as possible. From my own observation and all my opinions, I’ve noticed that in the news, channels and conferences of the Arab world, that Arab leaders are not comfortable about Iran’s intentions in many issues. I can say that this is the official opinion of the Arab states. On the other hand, Iran always try to tell the Arabs that you don’t have to worry we will never harm you. However, the normal people who have some independent opinions would say that Iran is not dangerous at all against the Arabs, it’s only some external powers want us to feel scared of Iran and forget about the real issue of Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Of course, most influential Arab countries are completely at the hands of the USA. Another point that actually made me sick, and actually I am sensitive person loool, is that from the internet I have seen very racist comments, and topics against the Arab people. To be honest, I was really shocked! I justified this racist movement in the internet because of the Iraq/Iran war and some injuries are still bleeding, but unfortunately this movement reached the level of even picturing Arabs as non-humans or sub-humans. I have seen a website called “Persians are not Arabs”, the website is trying to show the West that Iranians are different than Arabs. I acknowledge the right of Iranians to do so, but it makes me feel it has a touch of racism. In the USA, it happened to me more than once, some people think I am Iranian and I’ve never felt offended by that. Unfortunately, some people associate the political problems in Iran now to the Arabs and Islam. What are the Arabs have to do with that!? Instead of thinking for solutions, some people blame the others “Arabs” for all their internal problems!!! I don’t say that the Arabs are good people and they are innocent. There are some Arabs who are racist. I know there are lot problems in the Arab world. Some problems made me ashamed of this fractured Arab world. As what I have seen in some Iranian forums, blaming the Arabs and Islam for all the problems, there are many Arab intellectuals who criticized Islam itself and still Islam is criticized. But I still think this problem can happen with every religion when the religious people have unlimited power. It could happen with Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Zoroastrianism. Even secular powers can be as dangerous as religions if there is no balance. Finally, I believe in love and friendship. I believe in humanity, all the people are the same, no one is superior. I believe diversity enrich and complete. I hope someday, we people of the Middle East can sleep with peace of mind and no more wars. I hope I see your reflections of the issues I have mentioned. Kheili mamnoon 
