Tell Us Something About The Person Above You!

I see your getting settled back in here. -_-
  2. Erm this is the first time im starting a poll... so if i ballsed it up please may one of the admins give me a hand Ok so it goes like this: Free (libertarianism): We are free to choose what we want to do (complete freedom of choice i.e. Free Will). We do not have a pre-set path... set by God or causality. This is supported by the 'Adam & Eve' story that we have the freedom to choose to defy God (When Adam took the 'Forbidden Fruit'). Or the great philosopher Plato who is the origional libertarian. Pre-Determined (Hard Determinism): We have no actual freedom of choice, everything is Gods grand plan OR heavily swayed by our previous actions (Causality). Supported by Aristotles theory of Causality and the 'Un-moved Mover' who set time in motion and the set of causes throughtout the universe & lineal time (God). Also in Omar Khayyams' works Soft Determinist: We have some freedom of choice BUT ultimatly we are determined by God or our previous actions (causality). Whatever we choose will ultimatly lead back to our 'path' the has been set for us. (More modern widely accepted theory) Wiki Articles on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compatibilism#Libertarianism http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compatibilism#Hard_determinism http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Determinism#P..._of_determinism I find this topic very interesting and its good theology to look in. Votes and opinions are more than appreciated

    IRANIAN MEN...main characteristics...

I don't think that you can make a judgement on Iranian men from the inhabitance of this forum... I simply pray to everything thats Holy that the main bia2 forumers do not show a real demographic of Iranian mens atitudes and behavior.
  6. Looking at the nature of it I am not suprised. The Islamic conquest on Iran made Iranians VERY bitter against Arabs, some thing that you can even see today. REASONS? Maybe these 'humanitarians' you claim they are enslaved and raped our society... a society that abolished slavery over a milenium before hand. They raped and pilaged, used the men as slaves and women as whores... did we need Islam? NO! Islam was necessary to the Arabs who were uncivilised bedouins not for the at-the-time civilised society Iran had. Any way if they were so great why did we kick the caliphite rulers out on their Azz? I know about the Massacre at Tabaristan... it was passed through the family, horific what they did to the people. But good old hard headed Mazandaranis weren't broken by them

Well you know what they say 'Women age like fine wine' so on the other hand men must age like watermelon jks
  8. I've been noticing this for years in my family, that we talk about another persons 'energy' even in small things like the 'evil eye' or when u rub some ones shoulders u instinctivly tap your fingers on the ground or wash your hands with flowing water... Its very similar ideology as in Taoism with the concept of Qi (pronounced Chi) It could just be my family as my two da'is are masters in Kung Fu To'a (Form of Martial Arts derived from Shao Lin, developed and introduced into Iran by Grand Master Ibrahim Mirzaii... so its a Persian form of martial arts)... and my elder Da'i is a spiritualist & healer (i.e. Accupuncture etc) some where in Thailand lol. but ive seen other Iranians do it so maybe its some thing in our culture... Can anyone tell me if there is Persian theology behind it? or how it was introduced to our culture wiki article related to the concept of Qi: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qi
  9. I hardly slept last night.. now i feel like Shoot cos of lack of sleep... and my throat still hurts, think its infected
  10. I cant choose just one! lol Ferdowsi (obvious reasons) Most of the mythological charactors from the Shahnameh, also the ones who existed, Rostam-e Farokhzad killed by Taazi hordes in the name of Iran Khayyam... Rubaiyat and his works on Determinism Reza Shah (AKA Reza Khan) one of the greatest Mazandaranis ever.. not to mention he was one of the greatest shahs we've had for centuries. Attar, his works...'Mantiq at-Tayr' an alegory comparable to Plato's works imo, influences on Rumi and the sad tale of his death he should get aknowledged more in Iran Cyrus The Great/Kourosh-e-Bozorg... worlds first decree of human rights... truelly proved to be 'civilised' is a way of thought NOT modern surroundings! Also the greatness/father of Persia etc etc Darius The Great... simply for constructing Parsa lol Ofcourse the Prophet Zarathushtra and the Prophet Bahaullah... but i wont include religion in this

    BMW or Mercedes?

Gotta be the Merc (New ones and the old skool ones)... recent BMW designs are UGLY! tho the models during the 90's and early 00's were hot. But BMWs are painfully mainstreem... its all about being individual! I saw a seariously sweet old skool merc today... It looked so mistreated... with some love it would have looked amazing! It was one of these: But in white and it looked a bit tired lol...

    Bia2 Rumours...something fishy goin on?

Al claims to have gone on a diet... then pigs out at McDonalds with his friend Gari... So this thread is about flaming with other users right?
  13. Thanks for your votes Personally im a soft determanist... causality (our previous actions) influences most things in our life. Many cultures believe the same i.e Toaism 'An action causes a reaction' Ying/Yang etc. A lot of sayings like 'You reep what you sow'... I guess we're all a sucker for causality imo... Tho I believe we have some freedom will

    Iranian husbands

This forum some times amazes me... how low the gals think of the guys and... i wont even go into the guys :p Segregating the sexes is where sexism starts imo... what does nationality mean to a man who is going to cheat? So all Iranian men are liers and cheaters? thanks! lol. You get good and bad people in every race/nation... its not about male, female, geographic location, religion etc... its, well how much self respect you have. Any way from my meer 19 years and 11 months of life ive seen women (English & Iranian) do most of the cheating... doesnt mean all women are liers/cheaters

i need help with a persian symbol!!

Pouryas' right. Its derived from the sculptures from Parsa, probably the ones of the various ethnicities from the nations within the empire bringing gifts for the Shah (Xerxes/Darius the Great?) FYI the label on that photo is over 50 years old... done by the british before they understood Parsa for what it is. Decent explanation on Parsa in this interesting documentry 'Persepolis 3D' http://www.archive.org/download/wwwiraninf...rsepolisrec.wmv Its a beautiful pendant, tresure it!

if u had power in iran

:eek_wft: aye baba... i didn't know that!.... thats really bad hmm well man khondam keh Ahmadinejad dareh musiqi e sonattia promote mekoneh... I could be wrong tho I think that like serving alcohol i.e. bars... drinking establishments should be GENTLY introduced to the nation... not like thousends of bars and clubs opened at once... dont think its a good idea... prolly educating people on alcohol would be a good thing too.... we dont need a binge drinking culture on our hands... well an obvious one any way. I drink more in Iran for that 2 months im there than for the rest of the year in England Some thing else on my mind is street names... restore to the origionals and some to new ones... possibly take away most of the Islamic ones or the revoloutionary ones (and not bring back stuff like kheyabone/maydoone Izenhoer or Kennedy lmao) what u guys think about this?
  22. Whatever turns your crank i s'pose hmm I guess its the same for guys to a point... like we know when another guy is atractive to the oposite sex... just most guys are too insecure to say it cos ppl will think theyre gay or some thing... nothing gay about it imo its just knowing when some thing looks good

    1. The South Pars oil/gas feilds development should go ahead as it is, but yes exports on oil should be cut back and held in the nations hand. Also for the first time in decades we should control the price we sell our oil and gas... unfortunatly we have been getting extortionate prices /barrel which has been killing the nation. 2. I think Irans cumpulsary education needs an entire overhaul and more opportunities linking in for less fortunate families, providing free meals is a good step towards that BUT standards have to be kept i.e. healthy eating. Overall trends are showing that our once healthy diet is being replaced with fast/junk food... some thing needs to be done and schools are the best place to start this 3. what age is it legal to buy cigerettes now? 4. I believe Mr. Ahmadinejad is already doing this -_- 5. YES! Also copyright the 'Tár' we use. Cheap Chinese rip offs are destroying sales of Persian carpets and the value... basicly like what France did with Champagne... they copyrighted the grape so that 'Champagne' thats not from the Champagne region of France has to be called 'Cava' 6. True true... it would be a shame to loose our 7000 year old tradition of having a monarch, like all others (i.e. Japan) we should have a constitutional monarchy... theyl pretty much pay for themselves with the ammount of tourism theyl bring in... 7. Fight coruption on all levels of the government and establishments! Tho it is dangerous business 8. Its sad how there is ~15million Iranians roaming the earth without their true nation... but will a change simply warrant a set of people to return and a new set of people to leave? Look at London today and you will see hebollahis moving and investing money they brought from Iran... things are happening
