So I'm sure most of you have seen the photos, what is your opinion about that and the response from the international community?

This is a sample article, feel free to post more:

So much for being a gentlemen. Very inconsiderate, cant the men just get up and offer their seats?

Can I offer a different perspective?

If seats were on a first come first served basis, and if there were seats in between two men that were empty....I'd prefer to sit on the floor myself than sit in the middle of two men! Even the men standing in the back were standing really close to each other.

Easy way to solve a problem such as this is to have RESERVED seats for women only.

so you are telling me that if you come to a meeting. lets say an office or university, and the only empty place is between two men then you would choose to be the only person sitting on the floor?!

Look, it's not black and white. You really have to consider the opinions and thoughts of people inside Iran and consider that some people may be really religious. In other words, not coming into any form of physical contact with any na mahram. There are people who feel very strongly about it. So I am pretty sure they would rather sit anywhere than having any part of their bodies touch with a 'na mahram'.

Personally, I don't care. I've extended my hand to men who feel that way (simply because I've forgotten that's how they feel about it), I don't care who I sit next to, but honestly, if I were in THAT specific situation, I probably would go with the masses rather than have my butt stuck in the middle of two middle aged dodgy looking men.

But in an office or school or anywhere, I wouldn't really care. I don't believe in this behaviour but I do realize alot of people do.

I understand that people are different, specially those inside Iran, it was mainly your point of view that I was curious about. Thanks for elaborating
