I think we should go for it :clap2:

I mean if scientists can modify crops, then they can modify them so that we can make this:

I totally agree about the crops argument. The world population is increasing and we need a lot of food to avoid hunger, and if they could do this kind of things in Iran and other places like Africa, that would be awesome.

Of course there will be many ways of abusing this technology, but unfortunately no regulation can stop those abuses! Even if you stop the technology advancement in the open, the abusers will go on in private.

Btw, converting the first photo to the second one is not just about modifying the DNA. The plant will still need water... and bringing the H2O will take some good engineering :whistling:

On a side-note, there was this guy who had suggested that they dig a canal between the Persian Golf and the Caspian. I know it's a bit crazy, but that would bring water to the deserts of Iran and make a whole bunch of changes to the Caspian bay... crazy.

That actually...sounds interesting...Maybe they should do that instead of flooding heritage sites....

I wonder if any of these options would be possible? :D

as a natural science student, i sort of feel obliged to say that cloning is ok, but in my heart (ok sounds so cheesy but u know what i mean :;): ) i just feel that its sooo wrong... :S it is actually, as u put it "punisher" jaan, like we're playing God.. which is all wrong, at least in my opinion..

My opinion:
First of all i think there is no god to play with!

i'm totally agree with cloning and modification cus that's the way to discover the medicine for so much diseases in the world that everyday are increasing...and that's the way to evolution.

Human and all this world is suppose to evolute,,,to improve,,to change...

i dont think that all the natural think are the best...ok NATURAL SELECTION THEORI says that they are the best selected bt it depends which choices we had.Nt all the choices that there was in the way of evolution was good.so if we can make and invent new choices for the evolution with the help of technology, WHY NT?
